There were many sightings of a meteor which fell over parts of Canada last night. It was visible from Edmonton, east from Lloydminister and into Saskatchewan and as far south as the Regina area. It was believed to be a piece of rock, and nothing man-made, because of the speed at which it fell and the sharpness of the angle of it's path. Man-made meteors supposedly show more of an arc when falling. It is surmised that the meteor was much larger but broke into hundreds of pieces on entry. Here are 3 related videos...

Here is a beautiful compilation of various meteors falling to earth; to consider. The sound track is very similar/familiar to other music I have heard, when in Eastern Europe.
I found these images on the Exploratorium site on climate change. They seem similar in form to the images of Alice Aycock's work, and the Orrery. There is a machinic quality to them; or, one could say there is an organic quality to the artist's machinic work.
