Description
A wax replica of an arm is penetrated by a triggering device which emits signals randomly. It does so by the tapping of small sensors made of bovine bone, which are part of the device. Bone processed in this way, if stressed by a tapping, creates an electronic signal. These signals set off a spark, igniting a flame, near the wax arm. Overtime, this wax arm is changed, by the heat of the flame.
A second version of the same piece was created for a show at a different gallery in Seattle.
