When Pacifism is Appropriate and When it is Not.

John St Julien runs a children’s fund and home in Tanzania. He is originally from the U.K. It is something he began merely because he was drawn to it, and followed his intuition and his heart. He is active on YouTube, talking about the daily activities of his work. From time to time, he does “musings” on philosophical topics related to his experIences. He posted this one today, because the wealthy in Tanzania apparently provide financial support for a custom–to sacrifice children–particularly special needs children, because they have a religious belief that in doing so will bring them sustained prosperity. As strange as that sounds, St Julien is having to deal with the threats to the children he cares for. And here, he talks about pacifism, when facing such a threat.
