Looking at the work of Alice Aycock, again.

I have heard nothing lately, about the work of artist Alice Aycock. When I was young and in school, I needed to see her work; a woman doing large scale machinic constructions. A woman whose background in architecture made her drawings substantial. There was nothing flimsy about her work. So I went looking. She has a web site now. The piece I loved I saw at the Museum of Contemporary art in Chicago. It consisted of a huge, (pehaps 10 feet tall???), cast plaster egg, spinning on it’s axis. It was part of a larger piece of welded steel parts. She doesn’t include this image on her site. Nor does she include any video showing the kinetic qualities of them. Her later work, in the 90’s and 00’s leaves me wondering what happened.
