John Underkoffler, is an interface designer, who recently spoke at the TED conference. He is the Chief Scientist at Oblong Industries, the developer of the g-speak spatial operating environment, a human-computer interface. They have produced a video of their environment; it is something to consider. One thing that strikes me is the physical freedom from the computing device that we are developing. The curled and crippled bodies that were once the result of spending life times sitting and staring are soon to be history.
